The death has sadly occurred on Friday, January 2, 2026, of Mr Martin (Buddy) Sutton, Ashley Grove, Cherrymount, Waterford. Formerly of Rice Park, Late of Waterford Crystal.
Predeceased by his loving parents, Martin and Anne.
He is Survived by his loving wife Patricia, sons Kenneth and Damian, daughter Lisa, daughter-in-law Edel, grandchildren Tadhg, Cathal, Tiarnan, Chloe, Rebecca and Mia, brothers Joe and John, sisters Helen, Paula, Mary, Ann, Catherine and Claire, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives, neighbours and wide circle friends.
Martin (Buddy) will be sadly missed by all his relatives, extended family, neighbours and wide circle of friends.
Requiem mass took place onâ¯Tuesday, January 6, in the Sacred Heart Church, The Folly, Waterford, at 1pmâ¯followed by burial in Kilbarry Cemetery.
Condolences are extended to Martin (Buddy) family, relatives and friends. May he rest in peace.
Saturday, January 31 Mount Sion C.B.S. and Scoil Lorcain are hosting a fundraiser night at Kilcohan Park Greyhound Stadium on Saturday, January 31, at 7pm in support of their Student Lorek and his family.
Tickets cost €10 and are available from the office at Mount Sion CBS, Barrack Street.
There will also be a raffle on the night.

Pickleball isâ¯a paddle sport combining elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong, played by two or four players on a badminton-sized court with a net.â¯
Players use paddles to hit a plastic ball over the net until a fault is committed, such as failing to return the ball, making a serve illegal, or stepping into the non-volley zone (the "kitchen") to hit the ball.â¯
The game is typically played to 11 points, win by two, with only the serving team able to score points.

The Solas Men’s Hub is a new monthly activity-based group for men living with a cancer diagnosis.
Join a group of men who understand what you’re going through.
Our group offers connection and support through shared activities.
Gentle group activities once a month - gentle sporting activities, games, visits to places of interest.
Peer support from men who’ve been there.
Relaxed, friendly meet-ups.

These lovely items are used for group refreshments in the centre and to make up hampers for raffles throughout the year.

We kick things off on Thursday, January 15 and will be dancing together for six weeks — no experience needed, just come as you are and enjoy moving to the music!
This class is open to female clients of Solas with a cancer diagnosis.

You than sit back and relax for forty minutes listening to nice music in a room surrounded with candles.
