Thanks to all who turned out on Saturday and the previous week, for our An Taisce National Clean-Up events. Thanks to those who cleaned in their own areas including St James NS, Stradbally AFC U13 team and coach, the ladies GAA footballers and our own members. In particular, thanks to Richard Hickey, Cove Bar, who sponsored the refreshments after the event. Our village is looking so much better for all the bags of rubbish collected over two weekends and we are truly grateful. Work in preparation for the Tidy towns competition continues and we shall expect the judges from the end of this month onwards.
The market was a buzz on Saturday with volunteers from the Tidy Towns clean-up dropping in for tea. The producers were busy looking after their customers.
