A reminder that the annual Last Man Standing returns on October 19. This is the main fundraiser for the year and your support would be greatly appreciated. It's a game of luck, more than skill and can be great fun for all the family. Entries can be made with any of our committee members or with our first team promoters. Payment can be made to @stephenstrad on Revolut and cash will also be accepted. If paying by Revolut please make sure a name and phone number is attached. There will be €1,000 awarded to the winner and once again the prize is kindly sponsored by Norris Bros Ltd.
The Tay Valley CLG Annual Meeting will take place on Wednesday, October 9, at 7.30pm. There is a request that the Chairman and Secretary of the participating groups attend this meeting at Stradbally GAA Club. The scheme rolls over every year in October.
With the Orange weather warning stall holders and shoppers were glad to be inside for the market on Saturday in the Cove Bar. It was a packed house with stalls filled with lovely fresh produce, fruit veg, eggs, jams, relish, homebaking. Mary was back on Saturday with her own confectionery and was also selling Eabha's cakes, as she couldn't be there. Colette was busy with her cards for occasions and looking forward to her calendar which has gone to print recently. The date for the Annual Christmas Market has been announced and it will be held on Saturday, December 7, in the GAA social centre. Please take note and put that date in your diary. The producers were also discussing Halloween and what treats they will have in store for the bank holiday weekend. If you wish to preorder any of the produce on sale give Margaret a call on 087 6337215 and just drop by and pick up.
