The recent U9 blitz in Portlaw saw the local team play teams from Ballyduff and Clonea.
Well done to our scouts on getting a silver standard on the Phoenix this weekend we are so proud of you all you are a great bunch of kids.
A fabulous evening of camogie as our U12's took on Abbeyside. A fantastic match to watch, well done to both teams. Congratulations to our girls on a great win and happy faces after a trip to Applegreen for ice-creams afterwards.
Our recent U9 blitz in Portlaw saw us play teams from Ballyduff and Clonea. The children played some great stuff and got stuck in.
What a win for our Intermediate hurlers who beat the Mollerans in the recent Eastern Final 3-21 to 0-13. The lads now look forward to the county final where they will play the winners of the Western final between Colligan and Ballyduff Upper. What a fantastic morning our U6's had earlier in Mooncoin GAA and Camogie Club for their annual U6 Intercounty blitz.
Sixty-six teams took part in the tournament with over 650 boys and girls all togging out for their club, most for them for the very first time. We played games against Passage, Kilrossanty and Carrick Swan, winning all three matches, but most importantly all kids getting game time and having loads of fun. Lots of our boys and girls made their debut for Portlaw today and we couldn't be prouder of them. A huge congrats to Fergal and all at Mooncoin GAA for running such a fantastic tournament. We are already looking forward to next year.
A disappointing result for our Premier team recently going down 0-1 to Ballinroad. this evening. We were second best for most of the first half and went in 1-0 down. We were much improved in the second half but couldn’t find an equaliser. Thanks to the Gilman family for sponsoring the game. The Gilman family have been long associated supporters of the club and we thank them for the sponsorship.
