Bereavement

The death sadly occurred on Wednesday, October 8, of Mr. Frank Fallon, Dunmore East, Co. Waterford and formerly of The Red House Inn, Newbridge, Co. Kildare. He is survived by his wife and lifelong love Clare, amazing dad to Fiona, Roisin, Brian and Aoibhin, beloved by sons-in-law Michael, David and Tony, and daughter-in-law Maree, as well as all his grandchildren Craig, Jordon, Kate, James, Dylan, Aimee, Molly, Ross, Ella, Jodi and Ava. Frank will be sadly missed by his loving family, sister Anne (Lawlor), sister-in-law Pam, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Frank's full and adventurous life was celebrated in Waterford and Kildare with family and friends on Friday, October 10, in Anchorage House, Circular Road, Dunmore East. Funeral mass took place on Saturday, October 11, at 11am at the Church of Our Lady and St. Joseph, Caragh, Co. Kildare. Condolences are extended to Frank's family, relatives and friends. May he rest in peace.

Service of Remembrance

University Hospital Waterford Maternity Service would like to invite you to a service of remembrance. All who have experienced pregnancy, infant or child loss are welcome to attend on Sunday, October 19, at 4pm in Christchurch Cathedral.

St. Joseph & Benildus Church

A very warm farewell is extended to Maria Walsh, our Parish Secretary, who has faithfully served the parish community for the past four years. Maria has been a welcoming presence in the Parish Office, assisting parishioners with enquiries and helping to ensure the smooth running of parish life with kindness and efficiency. Her cheerful manner, dedication, and excellent organisational skills have been greatly appreciated by all who came through the office door or rang with a request. On behalf of Fr Liam, Fr Bobby, and the wider community of St Joseph & St Benildus & St Mary, we sincerely thank Maria for her commitment and service. We wish her every blessing and happiness for the future. Go raibh míle maith agat, Maria.

Friendship Lunch

A Friendship Lunch will take place on Monday, October 13, at 12.30pm at the Cove Bar, Dunmore Road, Waterford. No booking needed. All very welcome.

Festive Sea

Lots have been in touch enquiring about this year's Festive Tea dates at the Granville Hotel on Saturday and Sunday, November 29 and 30. Tickets will go on sale on Thursday, Octobwr 16. More details released nearer to the time.

Art Workshop

An Art Workshop in Ardkeen Library will take place on Saturday, October 18, from 10am for ages 6 – 8 years and 11.15am for Ages 9 – 12 years. The workshop will help celebrate the children’s book festival in association with Waterford libraries. Booking essential - please book your child's place on 051 84975.

Rhyme & Sign Storytime

A fun and interactive storytime for babies and toddlers led by Claire Glynn founder of Clever Little Handies. Claire is visiting five of our libraries for a fun Rhyme & Sign Storytime. Claire's library sessions will show babies, toddlers and their carers how to sign their names and then sign along to an enjoyable rhyming story. Volunteer with Age Action

Are you passionate about helping others? Become a volunteer tutor with Age Action's 'Getting Started' programme and make a real difference in someone’s life. Irish Traditional Music Classes in Waterford City, classes are held weekly in De La Salle School, enrolling now.
