Local Notes: Runners take on 5K, May Rosary and lucky lotto winners

Well done to the members of the Touraneena Runner’s Club who recently took part in the Aglish 5K.

TOURANEENA RUNNER'S CLUB

On Sunday, May 4, there will be training on the Greenway and Wednesday, May 7, in Touraneena Race Track.

For all the boys and girls born in 2011 and younger, West Waterford Athletics will be holding a 1km Fun Run held on May 9, starting at the Ballinroad Hall at 6:45pm. 

The cost is €5 per child, and there will be prizes for the top five girls and boys to cross the finish line.

Well done to all our club members who recently completed the Aglish 5km.

SLIABH gCUA LOTTO

The jackpot is at €2,500 for next week’s draw.  

The numbers drawn last Sunday night were 13, 26, 27.  

The 5 x €20 winners were Tadgh Power, Maureen Dalton, Helen Martin, Nollaig & James Condon. 

The promoter’s prize was won by Kay Ware.

ROSARY

The Rosary will be said every Thursday at 7:30pm at our Lady’s Grotto in Ballymacarbry for May. 

All are welcome.

An Post has generously offered for anyone who wants to pay their respects to our late Pope Francis to deliver your sympathy or mass cards free of charge to the Vatican up until May 14.
