Mass Times

Mass times in Killea Church this week are: Wednesday, January 22 (7.30pm), Friday, January 24 (9.30am); Sunday, January 26 (9.30am). Masses in Carbally Church is celebrated every Sunday  at 11am.

Final Call

A final call to anyone still with sponsorship cards for the Christmas Day Swim in Dunmore East to please return them ASAP sold or unsold, to Sharon Kelly, Haven Hotel, who wants now to finalise the money for the event.

Pilates Classes 

Pilates classes are starting tonight, Tuesday, in Carbally Community Centre from 7.30pm to 8.30pm. Those interested should contact 087 2347716.

Men's Shed

For anybody interested in helping to set up a Men’s Shed in Dunmore East there is a get together every Thursday at 11am in the Fisherman’s Hall and all are welcome.

RNLI Event

The Afternoon Tea event, hosted by the RNLI Dunmore East at Faithlegg House Hotel, is not far away. It will be held on Saturday, February 8, at 2pm. The event is now sold out and those attending can look forward to entertainment being provided throughout the afternoon. 

Medal Presentation

Gaultier GAA Club will be holding a club celebration and medal presentation night this coming Saturday at the Riverside Cottage. The programme will start at 7.30pm and there will be a DJ until late. All members are welcome to come and celebrate 2024.

Thomas Barr

Heartiest congratulations to Thomas Barr, Ferrybank AC and Gregarrida on being chosen the Inaugural Waterford Sports Star of the Year at the WLRFM /Granville Hotel Awards last Saturday evening in the Granville Hotel. In 2024, our three times Olympian had an outstanding year being a member of the Irish Mixed Relay team that won the European Championships and were 3rd in the World Championships. He also won his 12th national Senior 400 metres hurdles title. 

Congratulations

Congratulations also to Siofra Moloney, Kilmacomb competing with Ferrybank AC who won the National Pentathlon U14 title in the National Indoor Arena on Sunday week last, with a total of 2747 points in her five events on the day.
