St Paul's Community

Quote:

"Brigid spread your mantle about us. Let us drink from your well. Kindle your flame in our hearts, heads and hands. Lend us your cape, your lamp, your arms that we may be creators, healers, protectors - Keepers of the flame."

St. Brigid

This year the State again joins with the Church in celebrating the feast day of St Brigid, symbolically acknowledging and honouring the role of women in Church and State. St Brigid was an abbess, healer, and weaver of peace, bringing kindness and love to all as the many generations of women who followed in her footsteps have done since. Let us join together men and women creating a New World of tolerance and acceptance of all difference, colour, creed and establish Brigid's living legacy today.

Pastoral Council

St Paul's Pastoral Council meets every month in the Parish Centre, in St Paul's Church. The Pastoral Council is composed of volunteers who work closely with the Parish Leadership Team, composed of Fr Pat Fitzgerald PP, Sr de Lourdes and Fr Dawet, to bring the good news to our parishioners through caring for our community and being there to support them by organising spiritual and practical events on their life journeys including: Hospitality, Bereavement Support, Scripture Study, various spiritual approaches through our prayer groups, Special Masses and Services dealing with Eucharistic Adoration, Divine Mercy, Scouts, Football teams, Boxing Club, Special Olympics, Holy Communion and Confirmation Masses. Also over the years, fund raisers were run for the homeless in Waterford and the Street Children of Nigeria.
