Sacred Heart Family Resource Centre is hosting a Fundraising Bingo Night in the Forum on Tuesday, April 21.

Bereavement

The death has sadly occurred on Tuesday, March 17 of Mr Tony (Foxy) Egan, late of St John’s Park, Waterford and St Joseph’s Home, Ferrybank, formerly of the Bucket Factory and FÁS. 

Predeceased by his loving son Derek and brother Jimmy. He is survived by his loving wife Mai (Fanning), and is the adored father of Colette. 

He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Amy, Holly and Adam, great‑grandchildren Isla and Noah, his son‑in‑law Ger, brothers‑in‑law, sisters‑in‑law, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends. 

Tony will be sadly missed by all his relatives, extended family, neighbours and friends. 

Requiem Mass took place on Friday, March 20 at 11am, followed by burial in St. Otteran’s Cemetery, Ballinaneeshagh, Cork Road, Waterford. 

Condolences are extended to Tony’s family, relatives and friends. May he rest in peace.

Diocese of Waterford and Lismore – Medjugorje Pilgrimage

As part of the Pope John Paul II Award programme, current parish volunteer Katelyn, a Transition Year student in Waterpark College, will travel with the pilgrimage which takes place from Tuesday, April 15 to Tuesday, April 22. 

Katelyn has kindly offered to bring your petitions with her to Medjugorje. Petition cards are available at the main entrance to the church. We wish Katelyn well on her journey.

Butler Community Centre Digital Easter Camp

Each day, children will take part in exciting activities designed to stretch their minds and spark curiosity. 

They’ll crack codes, solve logic puzzles, play interactive maths games on laptops, and take on brain‑teasing challenges. 

With a mix of screen‑based and hands‑on activities, it’s the perfect way to keep young minds active over the Easter holidays. 

Ideal for curious kids who enjoy solving problems, thinking creatively and having fun with friends.

Whist Club 

Whist Club (card game) at the Butler Centre, St. John’s Park, has changed to Wednesdays from 7pm to 9pm. 

They would love to see all their old players, and new players are most welcome. 

€5 per person. 

All new members welcome.

Sacred Heart Family Resource Centre Fundraising Bingo Night

Sacred Heart Family Resource Centre is hosting a Fundraising Bingo Night in the Forum on Tuesday, April 21. 

Tickets (€10) are available at the Sacred Heart Family Resource Centre, Richardson’s Meadow, Old Tramore Road, Waterford. 

There will also be a raffle on the night. 

Doors open at 7pm. 

“Eyes down” at 8pm.

Parents Introduction to Rainbows Peer Support

Join Rainbows Ireland for a one‑hour Zoom session for parents. 

Learn how peer support helps children and young people cope with parental separation, loss and bereavement, and why it is often more effective than one‑to‑one support for many children.

This session takes place on Wednesday, March 25, from 12:30pm–1:30pm via Zoom.
