Music theatre classes will begin soon in Butler Community Centre
The death sadly occurred on Sunday, September 8, of Mr Richard (Dick) Flynn, St John’s Park, Waterford, formerly of Faithlegg, Co Waterford and late of CIE.
Predeceased by his loving parents Richard and Bridget, he is survived by his loving and heartbroken wife Teresa, son Richard, daughters Anne, Lorraine and Amanda, daughter-in-law Alice, sons-in-law Tony and Bob grandchildren Mark, Alan, Mollie, Cadhla, Tom, Giulia and Sarah, sister-in-law Bridie, extended family, relatives, neighbours and wide circle of friends. Richard (Dick) will be sadly missed by all his family, relatives neighbours and wide circle of friends. Requiem Mass took place on Thursday, September 12, at 12 noon in Sacred Heart Church, The Folly, followed by burial in St Mary's Cemetery, Ballygunner.

Predeceased by his loving parents Mavis and Jimmy and his sister Nicolette, he is survived by his loving wife Rita, son Patrick and his fiancé Tara, daughter Maeve Ann, brothers Adrian and Alexis, sisters Rosemary and Ann Jude, extended family and friends. Michael will be sadly missed by all his family, relatives and friends. Requiem Mass took place at 1pm in the Sacred Heart Church, The Folly, on Monday, September 9. Private cremation to follow. Condolences are extended to Michael's family, relatives and friends. May he rest in peace.

The Relics of St. Bernadette will journey on pilgrimage to Ireland for the very first time this year, visiting every diocese in the country. This is a very special, once in a life-time event and all are invited to come and pray. The relics of St Bernadette will visit the Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity, Waterford on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 17 and 18. The schedule will be comprised of: 1pm - 2pm - time for schools; 2pm - 3pm - quiet time; 3pm - 4pm - Welcome Liturgy & Water Ritual; 4pm - 6pm - quiet time; 6pm - 6.30pm - Rosary; 7pm - 8pm - Mass; 8pm - 9.30pm - quiet time. Music Lessons
Learn to sing and read music for free at the Butler Community Centre. A reading music and singing course is currently taking place and beginners are welcome. It's a great opportunity to explore the world of music. The 12-week course, which began on Saturday, September 14, will continue for 12 weeks each Saturday from 11.30am to 1.30pm. Sarah Corcoran’s Musical Theatre Classes will be starting soon at Butler Community Centre. Sarah is a fully qualified drama teacher and there are very limited places left. The Annual General Meeting of the Older People’s Council will take place in the Mary Strangman (Large Room) at City Hall, Waterford, on Wednesday, September 18. All are invited to the event which will take place from 2pm to 4pm. Light refreshments will be provided for those attending the event. Sacred Heart Family Resource Centre will be holding a free Paediatric First Aid Course on the morning of Monday, September 23. The course is for adults to learn how to provide life-saving and basic first aid skills in relation to children, in an easy and understanding way. Sacred Heart Family Resource Centre Waterford will be running a free seven-week 'Nutrition & Pilates for Menopause' programme, starting on Tuesday, September 17. A free Parents Plus Programme will take place in Sacred Heart Family Resource Centre Waterford for parents of children aged up to 7 years. The programme will begin on October 2 and will take place from 10am to 12.30pm. A free support programme for parents of children experiencing anxiety is taking place in the Sacred Heart Family Resource Centre, Waterford. The free course will take place one morning a week from 9.30am to 11.30am. The programme is facilitated by a Creative Arts Therapist in a confidential space.
