Bereavement 

The death has sadly occurred on Friday, December 26, of Mr Tom (Appy) Aspel Kilcop Upper, Woodstown, Co. Waterford. 

Predeceased by his loving parents Tom and Nancy, infant brother Walter, parents-in-law Jim and Kathleen Giffney.

He is survived by his loving wife Angela, daughter Aoife, brother Paul, sisters Emer and Aine, brothers-in-law Ken, Hugh, Des and Stephen, sisters-in-law Lorraine and Christina, nephews Tom, Daniel, Cormac and James, nieces Jane, Leanne, Rachel and Heather, grand-nephew Kian, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends. 

Tom will be sadly missed by all his relatives, extended family, neighbours and friends. 

Requiem Mass took place in St. Mary’s Church, Ballygunner, on Wednesday, December 31, at 12pm, followed by private cremation at a later date. 

Condolences are extended to Tom's family, relatives and friends. 

May he rest in peace.

Bereavement 

The death has sadly occurred on Wednesday, December 30, 2025, of Mrs Maura Skelton née Burke, Knockboy Village, Ballygunner, Co. Waterford. 

Formerly of Water Street, Waterford. 

Predeceased by her loving husband Pat, son Edward and her parents and brothers. She is survived by her loving family, her grandchildren, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Maura will be sadly missed by all her relatives, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Requiem Mass took place in The Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity, Barronstrand Street, Waterford, on Friday, January 2, 2026, at 10:30am, followed by a private cremation at a later date as per Maura’s wishes. 

Condolences are extended to Maura's family, relatives and friends. 

May she rest in peace.

Bereavement 

The death has sadly occurred on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, of Mrs Roseanna (Rosie) Moran (née Ryan), The Sycamores, Dunmore Rd, Waterford, and formerly New Ross. 

Predeceased by her loving husband Tom and infant sons Philip and Andrew, brothers Bernard and Andrew and sister Bridie. 

She is survived by her loving son, Tomás daughter-in-law Liz, treasured grandson Thomas, brothers and sisters, Larry, Mary, Pat and Kitty, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Roseanna will be sadly missed by all her relatives, extended family, neighbours and friends.

The funeral mass took place on Thursday, January 1, in St Mary & Michael’s Parish Church, New Ross, at 12pm with burial afterwards in St Stephen's Cemetery, New Ross. 

Condolences are extended to Roseanna's family, relatives and friends. 

May she rest in peace.

Bereavement 

The death has sadly occurred on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, of Maisie Donnelly, Barrack Street Passage East Co. Waterford. 

Predeceased by her loving parents Jack and Mary Ann, sisters Finola, Maeve, Pauline and Veronica, and brothers John and Dick.

She is survived by her loving nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends. 

Maisie will be sadly missed by all her relatives, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Requiem Mass took place on Friday, January 2, in St. John the Baptist Church, Crooke at 12.30pm, after which Maisie was laid to rest in Crooke Cemetery. 

Condolences are extended to Maisie's family, relatives and friends. May she rest in peace.

Bereavement 

The death has sadly occurred on Wednesday, December 31, of Mr Brendan Ryan, late of Árd Na Coille, Coxtown, Dunmore East, Co. Waterford and Drimnagh, Co. Dublin. Former Fisherman.

Predeceased by his beloved parents, brothers and sister and recently his sister-in-law.

He is survived by his loving and much-loved wife, Joan. Children Dermot, Gareth, Catherine and Niamh. his adoring grandchildren Darragh, Calum, James, Brendan, Dylan, Elizabeth, Conor, Daniel, Olivia and Senan Sisters Anna and Maria, his daughter-in-law Rena and his sons-in-law Barry and Chris, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Brendan will be sadly missed by all his relatives, extended family and friends. Requiem Mass took place on Saturday, January 3, at 11am, in The Holy Cross Church, Killea, Dunmore East.

Immediately afterwards, Brendan will be laid to rest in the new Cemetery, Killea. 

Condolences are extended to Brendan’s family, relatives and friends. 

May he rest in peace.

Fr. Liddane’s First Anniversary: A Mass to remember Fr Liddane on the first anniversary of his death will be held on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at 10am. 

We hope as many of you as possible will join us.

Thank you to all who donated for the homeless during our Children’s Carol Service on Wednesday, December 17.

In addition to the 41 bags of clothes and gifts previously collected and given to Susie, we were also able to donate €701. 

Susie and her team once again thank our parish and community for the kindness and generosity shown.

Children’s Liturgy’s Mass 

Children’s Liturgy Mass will resume on Sunday, January 11, 2026.

The Litter Picking Group 

The Litter Picking Group would very much welcome volunteers from Ardkeen Village to pick litter at the entrance and estate once every two weeks for an hour. Bags and Picker are free of charge. Please contact the parish office if interested.
