Charity Bingo

The Butler Community Centre Bingo in aid of the Parkinson's Association will be held every Monday evening in the centre with eyes down at 7.45pm and the cost is €8 per book. All are welcome to participate.

Chair Yoga

Chair Yoga takes places in the Butlerstown Community Centre every Thursday from 11am to 12noon.

Sometimes people with different abilities may feel there is a lack of choice when it comes to Yoga, however, Chair Yoga is inclusive to people of all abilities and offers everyone the opportunity to take part and benefit from all Yoga has to offer. The cost is €40 for six weeks and more information can be had by contacting Lisa 089 6558716.

Whist Club

The Whist Club takes place in the Butler Community Centre in St. John's Park, Waterford on Tuesday’s at 7.30pm.

The club would love to see all their old players attend and new players are always welcome. The cost is €5 per person.

Warriors Junior Foroige

The Warriors junior Foroige Club is looking for new members and is open to boys and girls aged between 10 to 12 years. 

The club meets in the Butler Community Centre every Thursday night from 7pm to 8pm. The club is a place for young people to hang out, meet new friends, get involved in activities and have a voice. 

Soulsong Community Choir

Waterford's Soulsong Community Gospel Choir will be singing in connection with Summer in the City on Saturday, June 29, in John Roberts Square.

They will be performing at 1pm and everyone is encouraged to go along and give them your support. It also promises to be a great afternoon of entertainment.

Solas Cancer Support Centre

Solas Cancer Support Centre Support offers free, professional support services to those affected by cancer, their families and carers in the Waterford and West Waterford area. 

The range of services include: Counselling; Art Therapy; Acupuncture; Music Therapy; Reflexology; Reiki; Cranio Sacral therapy; Life Coaching; One to One supports for children and adolescents; Art Therapy; Music Therapy; Play Therapy and Counselling. The Solas Retreat at Mount Congreve will take place on Wednesday, June 27, for bereaved clients from 9.45am to 2pm.

Kids Summer Camp

The Sacred Heart Family Resource Centre will be running a Kids Summer Camp for the month of July for kids aged 8 to 12 years.

The programme will run four days a week, Monday to Thursday, from 10am to 2pm and the cost will be €45 per week. The camps will run from July 1 to 4, July 8 to 11, July 15 to 18 and the final week will take place from July 22 to 25. Places are limited so early registration is advised and further information can be had by phoning Anne on 051 306728.

Baking Classes

Sacred Heart Family Resource Centre is now taking registrations for forthcoming baking classes which will be run with funding support from the WWETB Reach Fund.

The eight week programme will run until July 15 and will take place from 10am to 12 noon. If you like baking then why not join us. To find out more about the initiative contact the centre on 051 306728.

Shy Project

The Shy Project is currently looking for volunteers to join its team.

The project is looking for people with a genuine interest in the care for and belief in young people, who can give two-and-a-half hours per week commitment.

It's a wonderful opportunity to make a difference to the lives of young people in the Sacred Heart Community including working with young poeple aged from 10 to 24 years. There is also a homework club in partnership with Scoil Lorcain School and have a games room drop-in along with seasonal activities and fundraising events. Quiz Night

The Shy Project will be running a fundraising quiz night on Thursday, June 27, in Heffernan’s Pub, Kilcohan (The Vale), at 7pm. 

The cost of participating will be €10 per person with four to five participants were table. There will be live music with Ger Reid and food will also be provided. There will be a raffle on the night and the winning table will win a €100 cash prize.

High Hopes Choir

The Waterford High Hopes Choir is looking for a guitar player so get in contact if you or someone you know, loves to play music and would have the time to practise every Wednesday, play some gigs and be part of a fantastic group of people.
