Birthday wishes have been sent in for people living in Ballybeg and Glencarra.
It is with deep and sincere regret we record the death of Nigel Forde, late of Clonard Park and Nenagh, Co. Tipperary, who died on Friday July 6. His remains lay in repose at Thompson's Funeral home on Sunday, July 7, with vigil prayers and rosary. His remains were removed from Thompson's Funeral Home on Monday, July 8, walking from the Clonard Park side and passing his residence en route to St Saviour's Church for requiem mass on arrival celebrated by Fr Robert Grant PP, followed by burial in Kilbarry Cemetery.
Nigel was predeceased by his parents Noreen and Paul. He will be sadly missed by his children William, Shuana, Lisa-Marie and Jamie Lee, his grandchildren and his partner Diane, sister Lizzy, brothers Johnny and Damien, sisters-in-law Katie and Elaine, Lizzy's partner Mark, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends to whom we offer our deepest sympathy.
Congratulations to Paul and Sarah Dower, Sherlock Walk, Gracedieu, who celebrated their wedding anniversary on Thursday, July 18. Best wishes come to them for many more years of happiness from their children Eve and Finn, and Paul’s Granny Betty Dower, Priory Lawn, and all their family and friends.

A very happy birthday is wished to Padraig Mongey, Glencarra, who celebrated his 7th birthday on July 7. Birthday wishes come to him from his mam and dad Joanne and Eamon, his sisters Roisin and Eireann, his grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins and all his friends in school and in St Saviour's GAA where he is a popular player.
Hurling on the Green continues on Wednesday, July 17, in Meadowbank at 6.30pm. All are welcome. A great turnout on Wednesday last in Foxwood where the kids had a great time trying out hurling and football and other games. So why not bring your kids out on Wednesday, July 17, in Meadowbank at 6.30pm for some fun and games.
Parish Mass Times for St Paul's are weekdays Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday at 10am; Saturday Vigil Mass at 6pm; Sunday 8.30am, 11.30am and Butlerstown Friday at 10am and Sunday at 10am. Contact details for the Parish Office are 051 357730 open Monday-Friday from 9.15am to 12.45pm.
A Grotto Rosary takes place each Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 6.30pm at the Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes Belvedere. Intention prayed for is Vocations to the Priesthood in the Diocese of Waterford and Lismore. This time of Prayer began in May and will continue until October. All are welcome to join in.
St Saviour's Parish Shop is open Monday to Friday 9.30am to 12pm. Mass times are weekdays 10am Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday; Sunday at 8.30am, 11am and 5.30pm.
