Sympathies

It is with deep and sincere regret we record the death of Jack O'Sullivan, Cluain-a-Laoi, Cork Road, who died in Farronshoneen Ward, Waterford Residential Care Home, on Wednesday, July 24. Late of Killarney, Co Kerry and retired Sergeant with Garda Siochana. Aged 100, Jack was a lovely gentleman who loved to have a chat. He died peacefully surrounded by his family. He celebrated his 100 birthday in great style last April and was in great form. He will be sadly missed by all who had the pleasure to know him.

His remains lay in repose at his residence on Friday, July 26 and Requiem Mass was celebrated in St Paul's Church, Lisduggan on Saturday followed by burial in St Mary’s Cemetery, Touraneena, Co Waterford. Predeceased by his loving wife Ellen (Nellie), his brother Tom and sister Mary, he is survived by his daughter Maureen, his sons Tom, Sean and Larry, his 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, son-in-law Brian, daughters-in-law Deirdre, Aine and Anne, sister-in-law Rita, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.
