Local Notes: Biodiversity talk, Senior Scór and cruise liner visit
 Dunmore East is ready to welcome the Jewel of the Sea cruise liner on May 28th.
In Killea Church this week, Wednesday, May 22, 7.30pm, Friday 24th 9.30am, Sunday 26th 9.30am. Mass in Carbally Church every Sunday 11am.
On Saturday last the boys and girls from Réalt na Mara National School received their First Holy Communion, congrats to one and all.
All the Cemetery Masses this year are in mid-June and all start at 7.30pm. The list is Killea Cemetery, Wednesday, June 12, Crooke Cemetery, Thursday, June 13, and Faithlegg Cemetery, Friday, June 14. Please inform any of your relations outside County Waterford of the dates.
Next cruise liner due in Dunmore is the Jewel of the Sea on Tuesday, May 28, with 2,500 passengers, all local residents and businesses please note.

Thomas Barr was back in action on Wednesday last in his first international 400 metres hurdles race of the season when he finished 3rd in Savona in Italy in a time of 49.90, he is out again this week on Wednesday in Marseilles in a similar race. In the RSC on Tuesday last Réalt na Mara National School were second behind Faithlegg in Best Small School Cup Award. Congrats to all the boys and girls.
Well done to Iona Ritchie who represented Gaultier GAA Club, the County and the Province with distinction in the INEC Killarney on Saturday week in the solo singing competition in the All Ireland Scor Final. It wasn’t to be on the night however but the club is very proud of Iona’s achievements in Scór this year. Congrats Iona.
