There was a big turnout again for the Sliabh gCua/St.Mary’s GAA Club annual St Stephen’s Day Big Breakfast event in County Waterford.
There was a great atmosphere at the event, which took place in Touraneena, with people meeting up with their neighbours and other family members from within the locality and further afield.

Some of those in attendance had travelled home for the festive season and there was a wonderful upbeat atmosphere at the centre on the day.
One of those in attendance at the event commented: "Loved ones home from abroad for the holidays and visitors to the area, all came together to enjoy the craic and chat at what was a thoroughly enjoyable community event. Those in attendance also got to enjoy a scrumptious breakfast."

She also highlighted the fact that players from the club, as elves, played their part and helped make the event very enjoyable: "The 'elves' excelled at their work and did all the cooking, serving and washing up in an exemplary manner."
"During breakfast, we marked a great milestone for Nuala Dunne, Touraneena, as we celebrated her 80th birthday," said one of the organisers.
"Happy birthday Nuala from all," she added.

Throughout breakfast, tickets were given to all attendees for a free raffle and the winner of a huge hamper, kindly donated by Cleanzone Technology Ltd, was Kieran Hallahan, who was a popular winner.

"Thanks to everyone who attended and supported another successful Big Breakfast event and last but not least, a huge thanks to the players for all their hard work. Looking forward to next year already," said the spokesperson.
