Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s New York City wedding was a star-studded affair, with a string of celebrities spotted joining the celebrations.
On Friday night the pop star and the NFL player, both 36, tied the knot at Madison Square Garden in a ceremony that was officiated by Adam Sandler.
Although the couple did not have any bridesmaids or groomsmen, Kelce’s brother and podcast co-host Jason acted as his best man, while Swift’s brother Austin served as her man of honour.
Also watching on as they got married were around 1,000 guests – with many famous faces seen entering the arena ahead of the celebrations. Here are some of the biggest – and most surprising – names to have attended.
– Adam Sandler
The news of Swift and Kelce’s nuptials was confirmed by her publicist Tree Paine, who also shared in a statement: “The ceremony joined both families together and was officiated by friend Adam Sandler.”
Although the actor and comedian, 59, was not photographed entering or leaving the event, Kelce previously made a cameo in his movie Happy Gilmore 2.
At the time of the film’s release last year, Sandler also praised the couple. Speaking about Swift, he told Entertainment Tonight: “Taylor is incredible. Taylor is so damn nice to my family and has always been. My kids have met Taylor a bunch of times over the years, and she’s ridiculously nice to them and warm.”
He also said of her new husband: “Travis is such a gentle, nice guy, and funny as hell. He’s like the guys I grew up with. When I was with Travis, it reminded me of my buddies in high school and just being able to laugh and say the things you want to say.”
– Zoe Kravitz
One of the first stars seen heading to the wedding was Swift’s friend Zoe Kravitz.
The actress, 37, was photographed walking to Madison Square Garden wearing a beaded sheer knee-length dress, which she paired with chandelier earrings, a small sating handbag, a black shawl and slingback heels.
Kravitz, who is engaged to Swift’s ex Harry Styles, went solo to the wedding as her fiance is currently performing his Together, Together tour in London.
The actress previously spoke about their friendship – which was formed while living in London during the pandemic in 2020 – telling GQ that Swift was a “very important part of being in London… just having a friend that I could see and that would make me home-cooked meals and dinner on my birthday”.
– Karlie Kloss
Supermodel Karlie Kloss and her husband, Joshua Kushner, were also among the guests attending the wedding.
Photos taken of Kloss, 33, showed her dressed in a strapless gold dress and coordinating sandal heels, while her husband – whose brother Jared Kushner is married to Ivanka Trump – wore a suit and bow tie.
Swift and Kloss first met at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in 2013.
– Jack Antonoff
Swift’s longtime collaborator Jack Antonoff was also snapped heading to MSG.
The pair first worked together on Swift’s 2013 song Sweeter Than Fiction, while he has since gone on to work on most of her albums.
Antonoff – who Swift previously described as one of her “best friends” – was photographed alongside his sister Rachel Antonoff. It is not clear if they were later joined by his wife Margaret Qualley.
– Gigi Hadid
In the mid-2010s Swift became known for her “girl squad” circle of close female friends, many of whom later appeared in the music video for Bad Blood in 2015.
One of them was model Gigi Hadid, 31, who attended her long-time friend’s wedding alongside partner Bradley Cooper, 51.
The couple were photographed leaving for the arena, with Hadid wearing a pink dress by designer Wiederhoeft that retails for 14,500 dollars (€12,670), while Cooper wore a black suit and bow tie.
– Graham Norton
When making her first TV appearance since her engagement last year, Swift appeared on The Graham Norton Show, where she spoke to the talk show host about her nuptials.
“The only stressful weddings are ones where you have a small amount, and people are on the bubble,” she said. “And you have to evaluate or assess your relationship with them, to see if they should be there. I’m not gonna do that.”
Instead, Swift joked that “anyone I’ve ever talked to” will receive an invitation.
During the interview Swift also told Norton he was on the guest list, a promise she followed through on, with the TV star photographed in a black suit on his way to the wedding on Friday.
– Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran took a different approach to the wedding’s black tie dress code – being snapped wearing a white T-shirt with a blue paisley printed suit and trainers.
The singer, 35, was accompanied by his wife Cherry Seaborn, who wore a yellow floral dress which she paired with towering silver platform heels.
Sheeran and Swift first became friends in 2012 after he was her opening act on her Red Tour.
– Dakota Johnson
Actress Dakota Johnson, another of Swift’s close friends, was spotted on her way to the wedding.
The actress, 36, wore a semi-sheer, flowing black halter dress which also featured a thigh-high leg slit.
She and Swift have been friends for over a decade.
– Hugh Grant
One of the more unexpected inclusions on the guest list was actor Hugh Grant, who was photographed with his wife Anna Elisabet Eberstein.
Grant publicly expressed his admiration for the singer after attending the Eras Tour in London in 2024, later sharing on X: “You have an incredible show, an amazing and v hospitable team and excellent if gigantic boyfriend (#tequilashots.). Thanks so much from one ageing London boy, wife and thrilled 8 year old.”
She later replied: “As a long time Hugh Grant stan this tweet is very important to my culture.”
– Ethan Hawke
Also in attendance was actor Ethan Hawke, who starred alongside Swift and his Dead Poets Society co-star Josh Charles, in her 2024 music video for Fortnight.
The 55-year-old previously told Entertainment Tonight in September last year that he did not think he would make the guest list and said of the couple: “Good luck to them, I’m happy for them. I don’t think I’m gonna be invited, but I can hope.”
Although they were not photographed, several members of Swift’s “girl squad” were also expected to have attended – including Selena Gomez, Lena Dunham and the Haim sisters – Este, Danielle and Alana.
Other notable guests included Camila Cabello, Jason Sudeikis, Jimmy Fallon, Tom Brady, Chris Rock, Jessica Alba, Steven Spielberg, Eric Stonestreet, Stephen Colbert, Sombr, Kelsea Ballerini, Benson Boone, Tommy Hilfiger and Miranda Lambert.
However, notably not attending was actress Blake Lively – who was once known to be one of the bride’s close friends.
Instead, she and husband Ryan Reynolds spent the day around 300 miles away in Lake Placid in upstate New York, cheering on their daughter as she competed in an equestrian competition.
