Irish Doctors Orchestra Fundraising Concert, September 29, SETU Arena

Medicine will meet music at the Irish Doctors Orchestra’s special Fundraising Concert to take place at the SETU Arena on Sunday, September 29 at 4.30pm. All proceeds from the concert will go to the Réalta/Waterford Healing Arts programmes at University Hospital Waterford. Under the baton of well-known Waterford musician and conductor Liam Daly, the concert will feature music from the opera Maritana by Waterford composer William Wallace, Concerto in F major for Two Bassoons by Johann Baptist Vanhal and Symphony No. 7 by Antonin Dvorak, in addition to a traditional Irish element, courtesy of the Waterford Harp Ensemble of Music Generation Waterford.

Róisín O Live & Acoustic, November 2, Bank Lane

With a solidified reputation as one of Ireland's most brilliant female performers and known for her unrivalled songwriting prowess, Róisín O will perform for the Waterford audience at Bank Lane on Wednesday, November 2 at 7pm. 

The last three years have seen the biggest momentum of her solo career to date, including releasing her Number 1 Irish album, two national tours and a world tour. With tracks such as ‘Heart +Bones’, ‘ Better Now' and Top 20 hit, ‘2023’, as well as ‘Stolen’ a co-write with Gavin James, still making waves at home and abroad, Róisín O has three top 10 Irish singles, several radio hits, and has performed with a host of internationally renowned artists.

After a sensational run of sold out shows in 2023, Niall 'Bressie' Breslin is bringing his multi-award-winning ‘Where is My Mind?’ podcast on the road again in October 2024. Having led a colourful life thus far and being no stranger to a slap from the dark side, Bressie has made it his vocation to excavate and discover what it is that makes us humans dive, survive, recover and thrive in the head melty-chaos of the modern world. 

The unique and intoxicating mix of music, spoken word, monologues and incredible guests is coming to a number of prolific venues across Ireland and the UK.
