What's on in Waterford: Live music this autumn from local artists and more

Dave Lofts has now announced his biggest Waterford show to date in Bank Lane on November 9.
Held in the intimate surrounds of Luca Records & Decks vinyl record store, Dr Michael O'Toole brings an evening of music from his extensive repertoire on solo guitar.
Michael is one of Ireland’s leading guitarists, acclaimed for his international performances and collaborations with top musicians. He earned his PhD in 2018 from Dublin Institute of Technology and published his book 'John Williams: Changing the Culture of the Classical Guitar' in 2019.
Michael has directed The Waltons Guitar Festival and Kilkenny Arts Festival, balancing his performance career with promoting the guitar. His solo CD Invocation (2007) and collaboration with Chinese pipa virtuoso Liu Fang on Changes (2008) have been highly praised. He teaches at the Royal Irish Academy of Music and SETU.

Susan has spent the last few years honing her craft as a solo performer.
A songwriter of hidden depths, with a voice that is described as "equal parts balm and blowtorch", she is audacity personified, a free spirit, a real performer. Since the release of the critically acclaimed collaboration album with Mick Flannery ‘In The Game’, Susan has toured extensively across Europe and North America, performing both with Mick and solo on headline tours, festival stages, and as an invited guest to an array of artists, including Phoebe Bridgers, Valerie June and The Teskey Brothers.
Susan will release her solo album ‘Now in a minute’ later in 2024.

It’s been an amazing 2024 for Dave Lofts with a packed summer of sold out shows and a host of festival performances.
In recent months he has performed at Electric Picnic, Kaleidoscope, the main stage at Sea Sessions and All Together Now in Waterford to countless hometown fans on the ‘Something Kind Of Wonderful’ stage.
Last month, Dave released his debut live album ‘Live From Phil Grimes’, which subsequently went number one in the Irish indie charts.

The RTÉ Concert Orchestra, under the baton of Polish conductor Anna Sułkowska-Migoń, perform an evening of dramatic classical music, showcasing the drama and melody of theatrical and film scores at SETU Arena in Waterford.
