What's on in Waterford: Christmas events, céilís and tribute acts

Taobh na Mara Céilí Band
The Dungarvan based Taobh na Mara Céilí Band will be performing at Dungarvan Town Hall this month.
The group was formed in 2017 by a group of friends, who down through the years have played together at fleadhanna and festivals throughout the country.
Although based in Dungarvan, County Waterford, the band’s members also come from the neighbouring counties of Cork, Clare and Kerry, each contributing their own unique sound and style to the group.
Notably, Taobh na Mara has the distinction of being the first Waterford group to win first place in the Céilí Band competition at the All-Ireland Fleadh Cheoil in 2022, and as the annual support act for Danú at TuneFest. Their concerts are a must-see for traditional Irish music enthusiasts.
Tickets cost €20 and are available at Eventbrite.ie
