Waterford set for Horslips and Rory Gallagher music night on Halloween

On Friday October 31, Bank Lane hosts a Halloween tribute night.

The night is dedicated to the Freewheelers MC, Waterford’s famous bike club, in appreciation for all their charity work locally.

Freewheelers MC was founded in Waterford City, back in 1979

Horslips

Irish rock legends Horslips and Rory Gallagher will be remembered by two top tribute bands making their first ever visits to Waterford during the upcoming event.

Swords of Light, from Donegal and Derry, come endorsed by Horslips star Barry Devlin as the original band’s comeback tour was cancelled due to Covid. They have since called it a day.

Hits like 'Dearg Doom', 'Trouble with a Capital T' and 'The Man Who Built America', helped establish Horslips as Ireland’s first international rock band.

Rory Gallagher

Meanwhile, Belfast man Barry McGivern’s tribute band is Ireland’s longest-running Rory Gallagher tribute.

The act has played at many Rory festivals and toured all over Europe.

They are once again offering audiences an opportunity to hear favorites like 'Bullfrog Blues', 'Shadow Play' and 'Cradle Rock' performed by someone who clearly loved his idol’s music.

Rock fans of all ages still listen to and perform songs from both these iconic acts.

A night of legendary Irish rock brought to life, with epic tunes, electric vibes, and Halloween magic.

All are welcome and with tickets at just €20 available to book on banklane.ie there is sure to be plenty of interest.
