Waterford' Madrigallery Choir announce exciting new concert

Madrigallery
On April 25, Christ Church Cathedral will once again provide a fitting stage for Waterford’s own Madrigallery Chamber Choir.
Madrigallery has a long standing reputation for collaborating with professional musicians and soloists, and the upcoming concert under the musical directorship of Pauline Kennedy will provide a repertoire of choral works spanning centuries, styles and genres.
Concert-goers will be treated to intricate vocal arrangements by Ola Gjeilo, Mark Hayes, Charles Villiers Standford, Luiz Bonfa, Michael John Trotta, Joni Mitchell and more.

The concert will also feature a selection of guest musicians including Oonagh Drohan, who is going to accompany Madrigallery on the Cathedral’s grand piano, while individual pieces will be supported by renowned instrumentalists such as Roger Brown on double bass, John Moloney on guitar and Cormac O’Connor on drums.
Libra String Quartet will also be performing on the night. Composed of Eimear Heeney, Nataliya O’Neill, Victoria Birlea and Gerri Dunne, this professional quartet will perform a few of their own favourite string pieces.
Tickets, priced €15, are available directly from choir members and online at MadrigalleryAndMore.eventbrite.ie
