Repair and reuse event will give sports gear new life

An event will take place in Waterford City later this month aimed at helping people give new life to old sports gear and equipment.
The 'Repair and Reuse' event will take place on Wednesday, September 24, at 7.30pm in St Patrick's Gateway Centre.
"Whether it’s mending walking shoes, fixing your bike or revamping old kit, this fun and informative evening will have you covered," said a spokesperson for the local authority.
"Hear from inspiring speakers, including how one local club runs a swap station, and pick up practical tips to keep your gear going for longer," she added.
The event will feature MC Outdoors, Renew Enterprises and more.
"Let’s work together to reduce waste and protect our environment," said the spokesperson.
