Now well into the second half of this year's season, Lismore Castle Arts have announced the launch of their 2024 ‘Origins’ exhibition, while the 'Each now, is the time, the space' exhibition continues in the main gallery until, October 27.
Leslie Allen Spillane is the 2024 ‘Origins’ graduate exhibition awardee. This annual exhibition is held each autumn as a way of presenting emerging new artists in a gallery context.
Leslie is a recent graduate of MTU Crawford College of Art and Design. She works primarily in lens-based media and uses alternative photographic techniques and printmaking. Using homemade plant-based chemistry to develop her images, she explores different plant's properties and remedies as a way of showing emotional states.
This show will be launched on September 7, at 3pm.
Meanwhile, the ‘Each now, is the time, the space’ exhibition continues at Lismore Castle Arts until October 27. This exhibition is described as a ‘thoughtful and considered conversation between four ground-breaking artists throughout Lismore Castle Arts' gallery spaces'. Exploring materials and techniques through assemblages, their works examine the history of sculpture, creating layered meanings and observations on life.
