Waterford Treasures recently celebrated 25 years

Waterford tourist attractions have been ranked amongst the best in the world.

Mount Congreve Gardens and two Waterford Treasures’ museums, Bishop’s Palace and the Irish Museum of Time, have been recognised in Tripadvisor’s Travellers’ Choice Awards for 2024.

The award honours businesses that consistently earn great reviews, placing them in the top 10 per cent of tourist and hospitality listings around the world.

The award is based on feedback from anyone in the community who has visited and left an authentic, first-hand review on Tripadvisor over 12 months. Travellers’ Choice honours businesses that consistently demonstrate a commitment to hospitality excellence.

Speaking of the news Sara Dolan, CEO at Mount Congreve Gardens and Waterford Treasures said: “We are delighted to receive the news of the top 10 per cent in the world positioning for Mount Congreve Gardens, Bishop’s Place, and the Irish Museum of Time.

"The very fact that this is based on public reviews and ratings is a wonderful testament to the team at all of these attractions who work so hard to ensure a 5-star visitor experience is delivered every day.”

John Boris, Chief Growth Officer at Tripadvisor added: “This award means you have made such a memorable impact on visitors that many took the time to go online and leave a great review about their experience.

"People rely on the Tripadvisor Travelers’ Choice seal to help them navigate the many things to see and do across the globe.

"We hope this recognition continues to drive business to you in 2024 and beyond.”

At Mount Congreve, a €7 million refurbishment redevelopment was recently undertaken, whilst the offerings from Waterford Treasures were recently expanded with it's newest addition, The Irish Wake Museum in the Viking Triangle.
