Derek Flynn and Theatre Vamps have announced their latest “Life & Songs” show, 'The Life & Songs of Amy Winehouse'.
In the past 18 months, Derek Flynn, with the help of singers Paula Weldon, Lauren Cardiff, and now Ellen Quilty, has performed numerous 'Life & Songs' shows featuring Leonard Cohen, Fleetwood Mac, Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young, Simon and Garfunkel and Abba.
These shows have sold out numerous nights in the Coastguard Cultural Centre and Bank Lane, amongst other venues.
Now with the help of Tramore singer, Ellen Quilty, Derek turns his attention to the iconic songs of Amy Winehouse. Ellen’s voice has been featured on a number of tracks by local artists and she is a regular performer at the Hive Live open mic nights.
Amy Winehouse has been called the voice of her generation, and in her short life, she left an indelible mark on the music scene, as well as leaving behind a wealth of iconic songs which will now be honored in Waterford.
'The Life & Songs of Amy Winehouse', will take place in the Coastguard Cultural Centre, Tramore on Friday, August 30 and Saturday, August 31, at 8pm.
