One of the most iconic and legendary figures in Australian television will be visiting Waterford as part of a farewell tour as she leaves her character in Home & Away behind after a career spanning more than three decades

Lynne McGranger is know to millions of people all over the world as the character Irene Roberts in the phenomenally successful Oz soap.

Her forthcoming visit to Waterford - when she will appear at the Tower Hotel on Tuesday, November 4, at 7.30pm - will present a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for fans of the series to get up close and personal with one of its most iconic stars.

Central to some of the most famous and captivating storylines in the history of the series, Lynne has been at the heart of some emotionally charged performances throughout her time on the show.

In doing so she has also depicted many different facets of the human psyche with some of her storyline being light-hearted and others taking her character down very dark paths.

Ahead of her appearance in Waterford a spokesperson for the star said: "After over 30 incredible years on Home and Away, Lynne McGranger is saying goodbye to beloved character Irene Roberts – and fans in Waterford will have a once-in-a-lifetime chance to be part of it."

The night in the Tower Hotel promises to be an unforgettable event for fans and will feature a live questions and answers session, a chance to meet the star in person and get a photo together and also pick-up exclusive signed merchandise.
