Annual Christmas Swim for Kinto 

The third annual 'Christmas morning swim for Kinto' is being organised to bring together those that know Brian Kinsella and raise as much money as possible for Waterford Marine Search and Rescue

The group will be meeting at Tramore skatepark for 9.45am to be in the water for 10am.

Donations can be made at the 'Annual Christmas Swim for Kinto' GoFundMe page.

Dunmore East Christmas Day Swim 

The annual Dunmore East swim is this year in memory of Des McEnery, who was one of the main organisers of the swim for many years.

The swim will be in aid of the Oesophageal Cancer Fund and Gaultier Camogie Club.

It begins at 12 noon at the Strand, and sponsor cards are available from Centra and Harbour Stores.

Michael Power Christmas Day Memorial Swim 

The Michael Power Christmas Day Swim this year is in aid of Boatstrand Sea Safety Centre.

The swim takes place at 12 noon at Kilmurrin Cove.

Ballymacaw St Stephen’s Day swim

In support of Waterford Helping the Homeless, a St Stephen’s swim will be taking place at Ballymacaw Cove at 12 noon.

A spokesperson from the organisation said: "We are so grateful as all the help we get is so badly needed and going directly to feed and support the most vulnerable."

WLR Christmas Appeal 

To raise vital funds for St. Vincent de Paul Tramore and Waterford, the annual Christmas Day Swim in Tramore will take place on Tramore Beach at 11am.

A bucket collection will take place on the day.

Ardmore Christmas Day Swim 

The Youghal Christmas day swim will be in aid of Youghal RNLI this year.

Registration will open at the Tourist Office at 11.15am Christmas morning.

Sponsorship cards are available through their Facebook and Instagram pages, @ardmorechristmasswim and Ardmore Post Office.

There will also be a bucket collection on the day.

The Billy Galgey Memorial Swim 

The 10th anniversary edition of Bill Galgey’s memorial swim will get under way across from Dooleys in Tramore at 11.15am Christmas morning.

“We are thrilled to this year fundraise for The Helping Hand Waterford. A local charity who do so much for the vulnerable of our city and county,” Ian Galgey said, the grandson of Bill.
