St. Saviours record a brilliant first-ever win

St. Saviours Under 12's that beat Ballinroad in the Under 12C League.

WOMEN’S CUP SEMI-FINALS 

BENFICA 2-1 MOONCOIN CELTIC 

League Champions Benfica booked their pale in the cup final and a possible Double after a hard earned win over a battling Mooncoin side at the RSC. Benfica went into the tie as red hot favourites but after a goalless opening half it took until the 53rd minute for Benfica to finally take the lead when Rachel Hutchinson scored. It would prove to be a short lived lead as within two minutes Mooncoin had struck back when Emily Blackmore equalised. The winning goal arrived with twenty five minutes left when the in-form Aleisha Cullen found the net to end Mooncoin's resistance.

TRAMORE 3-1 PARK RANGERS

A storming comeback from the Seagulls saw them recover from an early set back to seal their place in the Cup Final v Benfica this weekend. Ruby Doherty stunned the home side when she netted after 12 minutes to give Rangers the lead. Tramore got bac on level terms after twenty six minutes when Rosie Flynn found Nicole Bennett who made no mistake to score. Emer Larkin hit the post with an effort just before the hour mark but within minutes had made amends by getting on the end of Zoe O Sullivan's pass to fire home. Bennett turned provider for Tramore's third goal when she set up Tara Power to score.

U16A ROUNDUP

Piltown got their season off to flier with a 4-1 win over Bohs in Kildalton Park. Vittoria Pascolini and Ruby Norris both scored twice with Vivienne Rafter replying for Bohs. Carrick and Dungarvan played out a 1-1 draw at Tom Drohan Park with Alannah Kirwan on target for the Blues. Villa came out on top by 3-2 at Suir Crescent v Mooncoin. Villla had led by three goals following goals by Manualla Garcia Catalan, Megan O Regan and Annya Nair but Mooncoin scored twice late on through an Alexi Walsh penalty and Aine Connery to set up a tense ending.

U16B ROUNDUP 

Cappoquin Railway kick-started their season with a 3-2 win away to Piltown. Violet Dineen scored twice with Anna Rossa also on target. Lauren Flynn and Molly O Callaghan replied for the home side.

U16C ROUNDUP

Southend opened up their first game at U16 level with a victory over Tramore. Molly Roche was central to their win with three assists - Libby Foley netted twice with Bo Sheridan also on the scoresheet.

U12A ROUNDUP 

Aoibhinn Stuart scored the only goal as Piltown defeated Tramore 1-0 to take the three points at Kildalton Park. Ellie Mai Doherty scored a brace as Ballinroad defeated Villa while Southend were three nil winners over Bohs.

U12B ROUNDUP

 Dolly Anne White hit a hat-trick for Ballyduff as they proved to be too strong for Mooncoin. Jenny Laffin and Ella Dalton completed the scoring.

U12C LEAGUE 

St Saviours marked their first ever competitive schoolgirls match with a late comeback to take the points at Ballinroad. Jess Collins had given the hosts the lead before the two late goals gave Saviours the victory thanks to goals from Lexi Cawley and Brianna English Whelan.
