Fixtures announced ahead of a historic Waterford Junior League season
Villa FC are Waterford Premier League champions and they'll face Ferrybank away in their Premier League opener.
The Waterford and District Junior League are delighted to announce that the 2025 season will get underway on Tuesday, February 25 as we enter a historic calendar season.
Following an overwhelming mandate from our clubs to transition to calendar football, the league committee made the decision to make the move in 2025 following a very successful short season.
There will be many changes to a number of our leagues including a Champion League style format to our Under 17 and Division 4 Leagues in particular.
Bohemians and Portlaw will get the season underway in the Azzurri Premier League with league champions Villa away to Ferrybank in their first game 24 hours later.
Dungarvan United will host Tramore in their Premier opener on Friday, February 28 with Waterford Crystal at home to Hibernians and Ballinroad hosting Tycor to complete the opening series of Premier fixtures on Sunday, March 2.
