Blues Supporters Club Waterford FC Academy Awards for 2024 season

The Blues Academy Overall Player of the Year sponsored by the Blues Supporters Club was Zak O'Sullivan and he is pictured receiving his award from Owen Power, BSL, also included were Academy Director Mike Geoghegan and Sean Geoghegan.
The SETU Arena was the venue on Saturday last for the Blues Supporters Club Waterford FC Academy Awards with the top players throughout the academy recognised along with a number of coaches for their efforts throughout the year.

The first award presented, which was sponsored by Martin Colbert of Norris's Bar went to Under 14 player of the year Cormac Lowry. Deirdre Burke, wife of the late Eoin Burke, presented the Under 15 player of the year award to Callum Slattery after his excellent season.

Loyal supporters Paul and Darren O'Neill sponsored the Under 17 Player of the year accolade that went to Matt Barrett with Shayne McDonald named the Under 20 Player of the year sponsored by Paul Grant.

Heather Kiely and Kate Toman were on hand to present the Under 17 Girls player of the year to International player Izzy Walsh with Mary and Jean Doyle presenting the Under 19 Player of the year to star striker Catheranne Fitzgerald.
Mike Geoghegan named Trevor Casey as the Academy Coach of the year, which was sponsored by Odran Fitzgerald with Craig Shead winning the Shamie Coad Academy Recognition award, which was presented by Nigel Coad and sponsored by Maurice McGuire.
