Cheltenham Preview Night set for Woodlands Hotel

The countdown to the 2025 Cheltenham that will begin on Tuesday, March 11, is well underway and a preview of the four-day festival will return to Waterford on this Thursday, February 13, with a star studded panel at the Woodlands Hotel.
After the success of the preview at the same venue down through the years, Mount Sion GAA club will team up with the Jack de Bromhead foundation to bring racing fans an expert knowledge of the 28 races that will take place at Prestbury Park.
Local trainer Henry de Bromhead will headline the panel that will include jockeys Sean Flanagan, Darragh O’Keeffe, Sean O’Keeffe, Paddy Flood as well as Mickey D, The Bookie Basher what was promises to be a night to remember.
The panel will be chaired on the night by local man Ken Whelan with tickets available at €23 plus booking plus from Eventbite and tickets for the night will also be available at the door at the Woodlands Hotel.
The Ultimate Cheltenham Preview night is sponsored by Versus Bet and will include a €20 matched bet and price boosts on the night and tickets for this event are selling really well.
Patrons will get the insights from Knockeen and plans for horses like July Flowers, The Big Westerner, Envoi Allen and many more with Sean O’Keeffe sure to give his views on the best of the Willie Mullins’ horses including Gold Cup favourite Galopin des Champs.
50% of the tickets sales on the night will be going to the Jack de Bromhead Foundation, which was set up in memory of Henry’s son, who died so tragically in a pony race a number of years ago.
Commenting on the night, Henry de Bromhead said: “We appreciate the support to the Jack Foundation, which is Child Vision. They do equine therapy and we’re trying to build a state-of-the-art facility in Dublin.
“Hopefully we’ll be able to train people in this kind of therapy that can be used all over the country at any giving time. We will hopeful have a nice team of horses going to Cheltenham and we’re looking forward to the night.”
