Trevoh Chalobah leaves Chelsea for Champions League-bound Como

Trevoh Chalobah has completed his move from Chelsea to Italian side Como in a deal understood to be worth more than £30million.
England defender Chalobah departs Stamford Bridge for a reported fee of £25.7million, with a further £5.1m due in potential add-ons.
The 27-year-old has signed a contract until 2031 with the Serie A club, who are managed by former Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas and are preparing for their first season in the Champions League.

Chalobah made 151 appearances for the Blues, including 47 last term, after joining the club’s academy at under-nine level.
Como head coach Fabregas told his club’s website: “Trevoh is an important signing for us and a player who represents the level of ambition we have at this club.
“He has competed and won at the highest level, but he is also hungry to begin a new chapter and continue improving.
“He gives us strength, speed and personality in defence, as well as the technical quality to build from the back. He is a leader who can raise the level of the team, and I am very happy that he has chosen Como.”
Chalobah twice lifted the Club World Cup and was also part of squads that won the FA Cup in 2018 and Conference League in 2025 during his time in west London, which included loan spells with Ipswich, Huddersfield, Lorient and Crystal Palace.
He was part of England’s World Cup squad this summer after being called up as an injury replacement for Tino Livramento and came on as a late substitute in the 6-4 third-place play-off win over France.
