Katie Taylor's Croke Park fight has sold out in minutes as over 80,000 people are set to attend her farewell on September 5th.

Many fans would have been left disappointed as tickets sold out in minutes.

40,000 tickets were sold on pre-sale on Wednesday, with the remaining going on general sale on Friday morning.

Taylor will face the unbeaten French boxer Flora Pili as she defends her WBO, WBA, IBF and Ring Magazine titles and fights for the vacant WBC Super Lightweight Championship.

It will be the first boxing event at Croke Park since Muhammad Ali in 1972.

After years of calling for a Croke Park fight, this is where Taylor's career will come to an end, as she revealed it was this or retirement.

The Wicklow boxer has fought twice professionally in Ireland, both fights against Chantelle Cameron in the 3 Arena in 2023.

The undercard is yet to be announced.
