Arsenal have not given up hope of luring unsettled Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez to the Emirates Stadium, according to the Sunday Mirror.

The former Manchester City star is said to prefer a move to Barcelona but the Gunners are reportedly still maintaining contact in a bid to lure him back to the Premier League.

Crystal Palace striker Jean-Philippe Mateta has taken his claim that the remaining months of his Selhurst Park contract are invalid to Fifa, says the Mail on Sunday.

Mateta signed a four-and-a-half year contract when he joined the Eagles in 2022, but the deal included the option of a one-year extension.

Various reports claim Tottenham are set to complete the signing of Omar Marmoush from Manchester City. Marmoush is expected to make up part of the deal that will also see City team-mate Savinho move to north London.
