Bohemians take two-goal advantage to Gibraltar after win over St Joseph’s

Bohemians got their Europa Conference League qualifying campaign off to a winning start.

They defeated St Joseph's FC from Gibraltar 2-0 at Dalymount.

Douglas James-Taylor put France ahead on the hour mark, with their lead doubled by Connor Parsons in the 91st minute to give Alan Reynolds side the advantage going into the second leg

Elsewhere, Derry City were away to CSKA Sofia for the first leg of their Europa League qualifier.

Tiernan Lynch's side lost 3-2.

Ioannis Pitas put Sofia ahead in the 20th minute, before Liam Boyce equalised for Derry in the 31st minute.

Bruno Jordao put the home side ahead just before half-time, with Pitas scoring their third after 53 minutes.

James Olayinka pulled a goal back for Derry, in what could turn out to be crucial.
