A woman has been hospitalised as a result of falling from the window of a building on O'Connell Street, in Waterford City.

The accident occurred at around 8am on Tuesday, June 25.

Emergency services including the ambulance service and the Gardaí were quick to arrive at the scene where the woman was treated for her injuries.

A spokesperson for Waterford Gardaí told Waterford News & Star the woman suffered bruising and broken bones as a result of the fall, which was accidental.

It's believed the woman lives in the building where the accident occurred but was alone at the time of the accident.
