Wind warning issued for Waterford
Giant waves and violent storm jumping over the pier in the seaside town of Tramore, Waterford, Ireland.
Waterford City & County Council has issued a wind weather warning for County Waterford, on behalf of Met Éireann.
The warning, which was given a Yellow level status, will come into effect from 4pm on Sunday, January 11, until midnight into Monday, January 12.
It's expected there will be strong and gusty, southwest winds, and the possible impacts could include some wave overtopping, loose objects being displaced and there will also be a risk of fallen trees or branches.
It's expected that travelling conditions might also be difficult.
In addition to Waterford other counties for which the warning will come into effect include: Wexford, Cork, Kerry, Waterford, Clare, Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, Sligo and Wicklow.
