Wind warning issued for Waterford along with 'supermoon' high tides 

A wind warning has also been issued along with 'supermoon' high tides in Waterford

Waterford City & County Council has issued a weather warning to the public that there is a potential of flooding in the Déise from Saturday night, October 19 into Sunday, October 20.

The advisory warning came from a message relayed by Met Eireann which noted that as a result of exceptionally high supermoon spring tides coastal flooding is possible over the weekend.

Wind warnings are also expected Saturday night and into Sunday. The notice came in the wake of an initial warning to the public of 'astronomical high tides' expected between now and midnight on Saturday, October 19.
