While it might seem unlikely given the weather today (Wednesday), Waterford City and County Council, on behalf of Met Éireann, has issued a weather warning for Waterford that is to come into effect tomorrow, Thursday, April 30.
The yellow status warning relates to rain and while the warning is for moderate rain there is a risk of flooding.
In the alert, a spokesperson for the local authority said there will be persistent rain, which will be heavy, and possibly thundery, at times.
In addition to the risk of localised flooding, other potential impacts could include difficult travelling conditions and poor visibility.
The warning will come into effect from 3am tomorrow, Thursday, April 30, and will remain in place throughout the day until around 6pm.
In addition to Waterford the warning will also be in place for Cork.
