Waterford City and County Council has reissued a weather warning for Waterford on behalf of Met Éireann.

The status Yellow warning is for strong to gale force and gusty southeasterly winds.

The potential impacts could be difficult travelling conditions and danger from loose objects and debris.

The warning, which came into effect at 11am will remain in place until at least 5pm.

In addition to Waterford the warning has been extended to counties Wexford, Dublin, Wicklow and Louth.
