The Late Late Toy Show will be aired on Friday, December 6, with host Patrick Kielty taking the reins for the second year running.

This won't be the first time that Synergy club dancers have appeared on the show, having performed in 2019 and 2022 respectively.

Speaking with Synergy club owner and choreographer Nicole Greene, there is palpable excitement for the kids ahead of next month's show.

She said: "There were 4,500 applications narrowed down to about 30 successful performers.

"We got the amazing news on Friday the 1st of November, that they would feature in a very exciting pop medley for the show. This is the first time these nine dancers will appear on the Toy Show but it will be the third time for the club.

Nicole added: "I believe it is a once in a lifetime opportunity and I would always audition different kids as I have so many students, so I try to give these opportunities to as many kids as possible."

Kookiez draw from hip-hop style choreography, mashing up both old and new styles of the genre.

Nicole said: "I'ts actually a lot of different styles, we're mixing old-school and new-school styles of dance together."

Synergy began in 2016, first in the back of a gym in Tycor, before setting up shop in its current home near the People's Park.

The club will be taking new students again in January.
