The future of Gaelic Football in Waterford is in safe hands if the level of performance displayed by students in one local school is anything to go by.
The 4th and 5th Year students in St. Declan's Community College in Kilmacthomas took part in a 10-a-side football blitz on Tuesday, February 11.
A spokesperson for the school said an enjoyable day was had with lots of great football on show.
"The school's first team was narrowly beaten by one point, by a strong De La Salle side, in a semi-final," said a school spokesperson.
"The school's second team was beaten by a late surge by Waterpark, in the final," he added.
"Thanks to all the players for representing the school, to Brickey Rangers GAA for hosting and for Waterford GAA Déise Óg team for organising it."
