Waterford woman appointed Head of Marketing for the Republic of Ireland at Bluebird Care

Dungarvan woman Philomena Donnelly has been appointed Bluebird Care's Head of Marketing for the Republic of Ireland.
Ms Donnelly has 30 years of marketing expertise with some of Ireland`s leading brands.
Those include Waterford Crystal, Newbridge Silverware, Tipperary Crystal and The International Rose of Tralee Festival.
Announcing the appointment of Managing Director of Bluebird Care, Jonathan Gardener said Ms Donnelly's extensive experience will be of significant support to the company.
“Philomena, our new colleague, is vastly experienced in brand and business development, with exceptional vision and an entrepreneurial skillset.
Her market expertise will support our consumer brand and our collaborative relationships with State and charitable agencies working in quality homecare provision for individuals and families.
This important role complements and strengthens Bluebird Care expansion in the Republic, working with our professional local business operators to evolve our caring resources,” said Mr Gardener.
The national award-winning homecare provider is a longstanding player in the healthcare services sector.
Locally owned and operated care services retain 2,500 employees, including nurses and care assistants, dedicated to ensuring clients can stay safely and well in their own homes.
With 26 local offices nationwide, Bluebird Care provides direct care to clients on behalf of the HSE and other agencies and also serves clients in a private capacity.
The homecare offering is for people of all ages and degrees of ability, including children and adults with intellectual or physical disabilities and older people living alone or recuperating.
Speaking on her appointment, Ms Donnelly said this was vital work.
