Waterford Truck Show has been cancelled.

The organisers of this year's Waterford Truck Show have announced the cancellation of the event.

In an online post the organisers said the decision was made in light of the ongoing fuel crisis and in particular cited the fact the situation not being resolved short term as being a factor.

They also said the decision to cancel the event came about following "very hard and long discussions".

In the post the organisers stated: 'Due to the ongoing fuel crisis and the situation not being resolved short term, and after very hard and long discussions, we have made the very disappointing and difficult decision to cancel Waterford Truck Show 2026.'

'This was not an easy decision and we apologise for any inconvenience or disappointment caused,' they added.

The organisers also thanked everyone for their support to-date and expressed hope to have the show back again in the near future.

The show was due to be held at the Back Strand in Tramore and would have featured vintage, classic and show trucks along with food, craft and trade stalls.

The show was being organised as a fundraising event for the Tramore, Dunmore East and Helvic branches of the RNLI and also the Sham Ryan Recovery Fund.
