Waterford town residents complain of being 'tormented by boy racers'

There has been a number of incidents where cars have been clipped.
A Waterford councillor has said locals are being "tormented by boy racers". Cllr Joe O’Riordan said at the January sitting of the Dungarvan-Lismore District Council meeting that he has gotten complaints from residents.
“Locals are tormented by boy racers flying along there. You know there has been a number of incidents last year where cars have been clipped,” said Cllr O’Riordan.
Cllr O’Riordan said the problem was particularly bad late at night from the top of Wolfe Tone Road down to Sexton Street in Dungarvan.
He asked the Council to write to the gardaí and provide traffic calming measures for Mitchell's Terrace.
“It would be of some comfort to people who have to listen to this day in and day out. It really is disgraceful," said Cllr O’Riordan.
Senior Engineer Gabriel Hynes said it was a matter for the gardaí to enforce.
