Waterford students recognised for their 'on the pitch' achievement awards

There were scenes of great celebration in a County Waterford school recently when students were presented with 'Player of the Match' awards.
The accolades were awarded to students from St Declan's Community College at the recent Bord na nÓg Awards night in the Mount Sion Centre.
A spokesperson for the school said that on the night 'Player of the Match' awards for the U14 and U16, hurling and football championships, were handed out.
"Well done to Daithí Power, Michael Gater, Seán Hubbard, Joe Bible, Peter Murray, Adam Casey, Conor Houlihan and Matthew Masterson," said the spokesperson.
