A group of students from a Waterford secondary school enjoyed a trip over to Manchester in the UK to see City play Newcastle United FC in the Carabao Cup semi-final.

The students from St Declan's Community College had a great time at the game and thoroughly enjoyed the spectacle.

The game took place on Wednesday, February 4, and saw the home team win their through to the final where they will go up against Arsenal.

A spokesperson for the school expressed gratitude to Kealan O'Neill, who has organised 32 successful trips since 2008.

She also acknowledged the staff who assist with the trips who, on this particular occasion, included: Mr Walsh, Mr Collins and Ms O’Gorman. 

"So many great memories for students to reminisce on," said the spokesperson.
