Waterford student receives maximum 625 points in Leaving Certificate

A local student achieved a perfect score of 625 points in this year's Leaving Certificate examination.

Luke O'Brien Peterson, a boarding student from Waterford who attends Rockwell College in Co. Tipperary, secured seven H1s in his exam.

Meanwhile, Kevin Kelly, a day student at Rockwell, achieved 625 points with six H1s.

Overall, Rockwell students performed strongly, with 10% of the year group achieving 600 points or higher and 50% attaining 500 points or more.

Congratulating the students, principal Audrey O’Byrne commented:

“Both I and all the staff of Rockwell College are incredibly proud of the Class of 2025 today, not only for their achievements in the Leaving Certificate, but for their dedication to and support for each other. We wish them every success in this next stage of their learning and their lives.”
