St Ursula’s Primary School is celebrating a big win after 6th Class student Holly Swift was crowned the All-Ireland Eason’s Spelling Bee Champion recently.
Holly took part in the national final in the Helix in DCU, Dublin, where the best young spellers from across the country competed.
With calm and confidence, she spelled her way to the top, winning the title with the word “sentient”.
Everyone at St Ursula’s is bursting with pride.
Her teacher Mrs Howard said, “Holly is a brilliant student and has worked so hard. We’re all thrilled for her."
Not only did Holly win the All-Ireland title, she also won €7,500 worth of books for the school - well done, Holly! You’ve made your school, your family, and your community very proud.
